Swarna is from Hyderabad, India. She completed her Bachelor of Science(Honours) in Agriculture at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. Following her BSc, she joined the International Crop Research Institute for the semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) as an intern in the pigeonpea breeding department. Later, in 2024, she moved to Germany to pursue her Master’s degree in Plant Sciences at the University of Bonn. She is currently carrying out her MSc thesis in our lab, focusing on the mechanisms necessary for endosperm formation in Arabidopsis.
