Rita is originally from Portugal and did her BSc. at Universidade do Porto. Afterwards, Rita moved to Sweden to pursue her MSc at Uppsala University and did her thesis work in the lab of Adrien Sicard at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. Rita then decided to move a bit further South and joined our lab as a part of the Max Planck-Uni Potsdam IMPRS PhD program. She is currently working on non-autonomous cell signalling pathways during seed development in Arabidopsis.
