Rency is originally from India and did her BSc studies at the Kerala Agricultural University. Afterwards Rency joined the Erasmus Mundus Master program in Plant Breeding (emPLANT) and joined the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, in Uppsala, Sweden, for her first mobility year. For her second year, she studied at the Ege University, in Turkey. In between Rency worked in the lab of Prof. Stefaan Werbrouck in Ghent University, in Belgium. Rency then joined our group for her MSc work, where she is developed microscopy techniques to image developing seeds in tomato. Rency is now a PhD student in the group, working on the molecular and cellular mechanisms governing seed and megagametophyte development in Arabidopsis and in tomato.
