Chi-Ying is orignially from Taiwan, and she did her BSc in Plant Pathology at the National Chung Hsing University. Afterwards, she moved to Germany and did her MSc in Molecular and Applied Plant Sciences at the University of Heidelberg. Chi-Ying did several lab rotations at the COS in Heidelberg, as well as at the ZMBP, in Tübingen. She then joined Jan Lohmann’s lab and worked with plant stem cells during her MSc thesis. Chi-Ying has accumulated strong interests in plant developmental biology, and this drove her to join our lab where she is currently investigating how brassinosteroids modulate environmental plasticity during seed development.
